Grammy nominated reggae artiste, Luciano announced to fans on Thursday that his United Kingdom (UK) tour has postponed.
The artiste regrets the decision but is unable to keep his commitment as a result of the death of his son who was stabbed last week.
“It is with deepest regret that we announce the postponement of Luciano’s UK tour. Even though Luciano initially, still wanted to fulfill the obligations of doing the tour, the tragic circumstances surrounding the death of his son has really affected him and so we are forced to postpone all shows until further notice,” a release from his management team stated.
The release also stated that Luciano is thankful for all the love and support he has been shown since the bereavement.
Fans were also assured that the postponed shows would be rescheduled as soon as possible.
The son of Grammy nominated reggae artist Luciano was stabbed to death last Saturday in Kingston, Jamaica. Menelik McClymont, 19, was reportedly walking to school when he was accosted by three men. He was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Luciano has since made an emotional YouTube appeal for information that would lead to the arrest of those responsible for his son’s murder.
“Dem kill mi son. These culprits cyaan just get away — kill off innocent people and run gone hide and live like all is well,” the artiste said sombrely.

Luciano’s appeal was watched almost 40,000 times within the 48 hours after it was posted. In it, he said his son was killed in an unprovoked attack for simply looking at someone the wrong way. Without revealing his sources, he says the teenager was stabbed multiple times by more than one assailant who sped off in a car.
The singer also urged young people in Kingston to avoid senseless acts of violence, naming several high-crime districts, including the Halfway Tree Road where Menelik was killed.
Luciano, one of Jamaica’s most popular reggae artists, is known as The Messenger for his lyrics that shun violence and misogyny — a relatively uncommon stance in the reggae-dancehall world. In 2007, Luciano received the Order Of Distinction from the Jamaican government for his outstanding contribution to music.
Messages of condolences from around the world have since been posted all over social media for the singer now mourning the loss of his son.
